Sarajevo is the capital city and in 1984 Sarajevo hosted the Olympics, many of the venues are in ruins, but the city is proud of hosting and the mascot Vucko. In the south the city of Mostar has a  gorgeous bridge  called Stari Most, cross and go to the old market where you can purchace  hand made crafts and fresh fruit and vegetables .

Staying in the south, The old Blagaj Fort is the place to visit if you like to hike, but worth it for the views. Not in the area well as usual try my Razniji with a bottle of  Wachau Terraces Grüner Veltliner. Fantastic !
